Monday 20 April
Tomorrow sees the start of the silly season at Towcester, when we all pile up for their evening meetings and have a very social time of things! They really are great fun, and a good opportunity to catch up with a few local owners to discuss the plans we have for their horses. Towcester are also very kind in letting trainers take horses to the track on the morning after racing to gallop or school. We had thought of taking Bobby Gee there to have a skip over the fences in the home straight, but his next targets are not until May 10th so we have decided to leave it for a bit. Kikos will be entered for a 2 1/2 mile Novice Handicap Chase at Market Rasen on Saturday. It will be a higher grade than he has been running in, but it did not look as though the step up in class would bother him when he looked to do things so easily at Hereford last time (until the last)! He will also be entered at Huntingdon on 30th April.
