Saturday 3 October
Good to see Geoff Bridgford, Alan Gibson, and Ollie Cresswell on top of the hill this morning. Ogee did a really nice breeze before his run tomorrow at Uttoxeter. He seems in grand form, and although a clear round is the primary objective it looks like a decent opprtunity to extend his unbeaten record over the bigger obstacles. Everything else is really just on tick over until we get some rain. Bobby, Jardin and Rousing Rob all went up second lot and all seem to be in great form. I had to dash away after second lot, to get to The Richo Arena, to see Coventry take on their local rivals Leicester. Thanks to Ben for getting the tickets, for myself, Nick Walton, and Adrian Ratcliff. Adrian is a Foxes fan, and had to be on his best behaviour in amongst the Coventry fans!! A 1-1 draw was a fair result, and although it was a typical derby game with lots of cut and thrust and not very much football, it was good to go, although it would be nice to see Ben actually play - I have never seen him take to the field yet - he missed yesterday with a slight knee injury but should be back in the team after the international break.
