Three and In

We had Dylan Hey, John Bartlett and Alan Gibson in yesterday morning. Dylan and John have shares in Dawn Commander along with Alan, who also has a share in Cloonacool, and as of yesterday has got the hatrick up, and taken a share in Bold Conquest! Alan has had plenty of success with the horses he has had shares in with us,including a Punchestown Festival winner, and was very taken with Bold Conquest, who he saw canter third lot with DC. DC still has a nasty wound, and there is a bit of a trade off between time off to heal, and cantering to keep him on track. As the vet has said - cantering may put the healing process back a week, but cantering will keep him on track, so it is worth doing. It has to be said, the vet is very happy with the way he is healing. Second lot, we saw San Telm work well with Ereyna, who also looks in great from. ST has Warwick on March 30th as his first option, and if all goes well he could well have another spin around Cheltenham in April - a track that he seems to like, having run some super races there! Smart Exit worked for the first time since he had few weeks off, and went OK, he will do another couple of bits of work, and Stuart will assess where he is at. Maypole Lass is in great form, and has several targets at the end of the month. She will need Good ground, and is surely not very far away from getting her debut win! Cloonacool went for a hack around the farm third lot, and he got a black mark - after several weeks locked in his box after his overreach he is rather full of himself - and was certainly not on his best behaviour!! At least he is in good order. He will resume cantering soon, and will be going on holiday when the warm weather arrives. Benefit Cut will miss his engagement in Warwick on Wednesday, as his blood test shows that his muscles still need a few more days to recover from his run in Doncaster. There are numerous options for him, and he could well head to Warwick on the 30th as well. Kayla and Bonellis Warbler will head to Mares bumpers. Sage Grouse is back doing a bit after a pelvic injury earlier this year. Reyno looks like heading to Towcester later this month. After all the work was done, we had a new arrival. A 2 yr old chesnut gelding by Ballingarry, out of a Mansonnien mare, arrived from France. He has a superb pedigree, and is bred along the same lines as one of the top staying hurdlers this season, Aubusson. He has plenty of size and scope about him already, and looks a smashing prospect. He will remain at Fences Farm for about a week before heading off to The Elms stud near Northampton to grow and develop for 12 months, before returning to Fences Farm to continue his education. All exciting stuff for the future. With another share in Bold Conquest sold yesterday - please get in touch if you would like to come and see him. We are expecting a good turn out of folks from the Beds Racing Club next weekend, many of whom were keen on joining our syndicates when I spoke to them at their meeting just before Christmas, so don't delay - he is fantastic value, and has a really good bunch of owners already - who really know how to enjoy themselves at the races!! Remember he will be racing in about 3 weeks, and will run throughout the summer. Roger Loughran, who rode him in many of his recent races, has told us that he expects him to win plenty of races over here, as he will be well suited by the better ground, and the different style of racing over here! Shares are just 650 plus 25/week all inclusive training/keep fees. Please also be aware that the cost of the share will rise by 110 on the first of April to cover costs incurred.
