Sunday 3 May
On just his second run for Stuart and his team at Fences Farm, Bold Conquest ran out the impressive winner of the 3 mile handicap hurdle in Uttoxeter yesterday. Having had a sighter in Fontwell last month we had learned an awful lot about him, and felt that the track and trip yesterday would suit him far better. Given a peach of a ride by Brendan Powell, he travelled smoothly, jumped quickly and economically, and looked the winner from some way out. A good turn out of delighted owners were in the winners enclosure to welcome him back in, and it will be a day that many of his first time owners will never forget! BC seems to have come out if his race without a bother on him - he ate up last night, not leaving an oat, and he seems fine. He will have a few days off, and then be back to work. In the meantime we will have a look for his next run which is likely to be in 3 to 4 weeks time. Congratulations to all his owners! There are a couple of shares left available in BC, and just after his win I am feeling in a very generous mood. The cost price of the capital share was due to go up by £100 to £750 on the 1st of May, but I will keep the shares at the April price of £650 until midnight on Monday! So now is the chance to bag a bargain and join in the fun with a proven winner, who just happens to be owned by a really friendly bunch of folks!! Give me a call on 07909 518902, or email firstname.lastname@example.org That makes it 2 from 2 for Stuart and the team this season, and three winners from his last 4 runners. He has them in super order, and I am sure all of the hard work from the team will pay off, with more horses to buy, and a stable yard full of quality horses looking over the doors when they get into the jumps season proper! Thanks to everyone at Fences Farm for all of your efforts - they do not go unrecognised - you are a super team, and we are delighted that things are going so well for you all!! To back up the point regarding the form of the horses - Dawn Commander was electric in his work yesterday morning. He was simply stunning and will head to Haydock next weekend - hopefully they will not get too much rain! Benefit Cut also worked and will head to Aintree on the 15th. Kayla has come out of her win in Towcester on Thursday in good order as well, and went for a ride around the farm yesterday. Native Princess is also coming to hand really nicely, and quickened up for the first time with Maypole Lass - they are both in good order.
