Friday 5 June

It was good to be out again this week. A really enjoyable visit to The Elms to see the horses there, and make plans for a few of them. We have three 3 yr olds heading to sales this summer, and we are all really pleased with them. They look fantastic. We sent them up to Charlie Poste, and Francesca Nimmo to be broken in the spring, in an effort to help the buyers at the sales. The sales have all been put back, and therefore the time the buyers will have to break the horses and get them turned out is limited - by breaking them we have helped them out, and hopefully the plan will work. It was great to see 'Frank' - the Blue Bresil colt out of Savingforvegas who was born at the start of lockdown, and went with his Mum over to Ireland before restrictions on human movement were eased slightly, meaning this was the first time I had seen him. He is a cracker - and we all really like him. The racehorses that are there on their breaks look great - Molly Childers, and Go Milly Go will return to Fences Farm in early July. San Seb heads off to Jason Maguires pre training yard in Gloucestershire in mid July, where he will take advantage of Jasons water treadmill, and spa in an effort to get him back on track, as his form is very very good, and he deserves another chance. He will be pre trained on the gallop there while having regular sessions on the treadmill and in the spa. Queenohearts looks fantastic and we can't wait to see her back after a year off. Yauthym will return to Fergal O'Brien in early July - she has grown and strengthened and is still a novice for this season, so as she is already Listed place we think she has a really good season ahead of her. Blue Bikini has also done really well for her break, and will return to training in early July. As these horses return to work, one will be just going out - Classic Ben is recuperating from a couple of small procedures to rectify a bit of wear and tear, and all is going the right way. He will head out in late June for a few weeks. At Fences Farm, Figarella Borget is in great order, and will be ready to run when jump racing returns, and Land League has started to canter and is also looking great - he should be ready to run in August.
