Monday 15 June

It has been a very busy weekend - we welcomed a new face to NBR, Tim has taken a share in Figarella Borget, and we wish him luck with her. If you are one of the interested parties that missed out - stay tuned here, and on our social media channels, as there will be an update at the end of the week. FB herself is in great form, and will be ready to run when jump racing resumes. They have now released the programme for July, and there are a few races that would suit her well. I will chat to Stuart about her options and keep all of her owners up to speed with where we are. Sadly at this stage, owners and representatives are not permitted to attend meetings, and I am sure that when those restrictions are relaxed slightly there will be a phased reintroduction, and O&T Badges will have to be allocated on a ballot system. Not only have we got a new face in Figgy, we have a group of folks looking to get a horse for their own syndicate, so we will be busy on that front, and I have also spoken to a man this morning, who along with his new partner is very interested in buying some young stock and also having a horse he can see run, so all in all things are ticking along nicely, and we will be working hard to fulfil these orders, and accommodating everyone's wishes. With all this going on it was a shame that we missed out on a cheeky little claim today in France. We were outbid in the claim, but as always we had to value what we wanted, and someone valued the horse more highly than us. I have a long list of horses I have seen over the course of the last 8 months or so over in France, and I am sure that at least one of these will be available very soon. Please let me know if you would like to join in the fun - the plan is to form a new 10 man syndicate, and place the horse in training in the midlands. 07909 518902, nickbrownracing@gmail.com Our sales horses are just beginning their prep, as they are all due to be sold next month at the National Hunt Store sales in Ireland and Doncaster. In a further exciting development, it was great to see Wonderful Moon win the Group 2 in Cologne yesterday afternoon, cementing his place at the head of the market for the German Derby. His sire, Sea The Moon is very very hot at the moment, and that is why we will be heading to Newmarket in October for the yearling sales with the gorgeous yearling colt we have by the sire. He looks to have been a bargain for clients when purchased for 17,000gns as a foal in December, and they should see a very good return for him in less than 12 months. Our French contacts have been on the land over there in the last couple of months, and we have some lovely foals to consider, by some of the top French sires. It very much looks as though there will be tremendous value on the foal market this year, so please get in touch if you would like to be a part of one of our 2020 investment syndicates - again call me on 07909 518902, or email nickbrownracing@gmail.com. In the meantime, stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
