We managed to get a few days away in Cheltenham this weekend - and we didn't go racing - in fact, we were never going to go racing - but it was a nice few days to explore the town and surroundings, along with a highly recommended visit to former England Rugby star, Phil Vickerys, No. 3 Restaurant in the town. Of course horses were involved, and on Friday we had a great morning in with Fergal O'Brien - a work morning and all the horses there worked well. Yauthym looked great, and is nearly ready to run after a little set back, but a maiden hurdle this weekend comes up a tad too soon, she will be out over Christmas. Volkovka will also have entries over the festive period after impressing in her work. She has come out of her win in Market Rasen in fine fettle. San Seb has certainly come on in terms of his fitness since his return in Ascot, and goes tomorrow in Wincanton. Paddy Brenna rides. Seeing Song For Someone win the feature hurdle in Cheltenham on Saturday just makes you hope even harder that he retains the sort of ability he showed when beating that horse on his hurdling debut. At Fences Farm a few are having an easier time of things, Hi Ho Silva Lining and Our Bubba are a bit under the weather and are on light duties until they improve. Go Millie Go has been sore since her latest run, and she will now have a mid winter break, and also get gastro scoped to see if she is being affected by ulcers. We already now that Blue Bikini has been suffering in that department, and she is still undergoing treatment. The two that seem OK are Queenohearts who skipped Cheltenham this weekend when her owners decided to wait with her, and she has an entry in Haydock on Saturday, and Classic Ben who seems fine, and we will look for races for him. Auditoria has done nothing but please since her arrival with Charlie Poste and Fran Nimmo, and she looks like a nice addition to the squad. She heads into Olly Murphy this week, and will be making her hurdling debut in the next few weeks. There are a few shares remaining in her, please get in touch for further details - shares are just £25/wk all inc, with a flexible payment plan available for the £600 capital sum. We are also in the process of adding another young horse to the team in with Fergal O'Brien - there will be just 10 shares available - so again drop me a line if you would like to be involved. nickbrownracing@gmail.com or 07909 5189092
