New Faces

Last saw little in the way of Jump racing, but it was all go for us. It was a very enjoyable week meeting lots of new members along the way. On Wednesday we had a get together at Olly Murphy's Warren Chase Stables to see Auditoria before she left for her summer holiday at The Elms Stud. The group that own Audrey is made up of a large proportion of new members, most of which are new to race horse ownership - so it was great to get fantastic feed back from the visit - mornings like this are hugely enjoyable, and everyone received a very warm welcome from Olly and his team, and got to see their girl stretch her legs on the gallop before meeting her up close and getting to have their photo taken with her. The trainer not only bangs in the winners - he also doubles up as a decent barrista - I've never seen a man make so many coffees! Sorry to mix up my food metaphors - but the 'cherry on the cake' was the appearance of bacon rolls on the gallop! Thanks to Will for doing a good stint in the kitchen! Auditoria is now back at The Elms. Volkovka is still in with Jason Maguire - a slight infection holding up her return for a few days. 'Dean' - the 2 yr old out of Savingforvegas has been backed and ridden away and he is progressing well. His 'primary school' will be completed shortly and he too will return to the stud. 'Mini' the half sister to Queenohearts, has completed the first part of her education and will now have a summer break - Jason is very impressed with her. Hidden Beauty heads to The Elms for her summer holiday tomorrow - and we are all dreaming of a really fun season with her from the autumn. Yauthym remains in training - the form of her last run has been franked this afternoon, and she will have entries in the next couple of weeks. Blue Bikini, is now on her holiday - she has arrived at The Elms along with Hi Ho Silva Lining. BB is out in the field with QOH and Kenahope. Kenahope will remain out for a few weeks, after which she will head into training, and be aimed at some nice races on the flat in the autumn - after which all options are open to her. Classic Ben is still recuperating from his treatment, and Go Millie Go will be checked by the vet at Fences Farm in the next few days, after which she should hopefully be able to go out with her friends at the stud. Our sales horses are progressing well - the publication of the calendar has already generated considerable interest in both of the 3 yr olds heading to the Goffs UK Spring Sale in Doncaster. The Telescope half brother to Sizing John is very much the 'Poster Boy' of the sale, headlining all of the company's sales promotions - and the Camelot filly has such a wonderful pedigree, the phone has already been ringing about her. Fingers crossed they are well received. It was good to see some of the new owners of the Mamool 3 yr old this morning at The Elms, and nice to meet one of them for the first time - another new face, and I'm sure we will be doing lots together in the future. - they all got to see Barry the foal as well - he is really going the right way - he is a cracker! We are pretty much sold out of everything now with just a share left in the Mamool - it has been a fantastic few months - introducing new owners into racing is always a good feeling - we have a lot of new faces joining us - we also have a good number of existing sole owners joining our syndicates and we are also delighted to see so many previous syndicate members and owners returning to the fold. The future is very exciting - and there are a host of changes planned this year, that will benefit both owners and their horses! Keep in touch!!
