Auditoria

Auditoria is a simply stunning 4 yr old daughter of the great Gleneagles that we secured to go hurdling. She was purchased in France in November, and we had planned to run her in the best juvenile hurdles for fillies during this winter. Sadly, when she arrived, she looked anything like ready to run – she had had some hard races on the flat in France and looked very worn out. She had to have a quiet spell, gain her health and lots of weight, and then we could start with her. Auditoria started life in the UK with Amanda Perratt for whom she ran 4 times on the flat without troubling the judge. She was campaigned over 1m and 1m2f. She was then sold and headed to France where she was immediately upped to staying trips on softer surfaces which bought about significant improvement. In France she recorded form figures of 3,2,5 and was never beaten more than 3 lengths. She has a wonderful pedigree – I believe Gleneagles will be a source of fantastic hurdlers in the future – from his first crop he already has the very exciting Cabot Cliffs who has won three times from just 5 starts over timber. Her dam is by Authorized (Tiger Roll) and was herself a winner over 11.4f, and is a half sister to Winter Derby Winner, Scintillo, and Group 3 winner Jumbajukiba. After a good spell of rest and recuperation with her new trainer Olly Murphy, Auditoria made her hurdling debut in Late Feb in Hereford. She ran a super race on her debut – finishing a close second behind a highly regarded and well bred filly owned by top owners Simon Munir, and Isaac Suede, who had the benefit of 2 previous runs over obstacles in France. Auditoria jumped like a natural, apart from one slight mistake 2 out, and considering she had not had a gallop since arriving from France in November it was a performance full of promise for the future – she then travelled to Perth in late April where once again she was second – this time in open company against older horses, including some very nice geldings. Auditoria is a very exciting filly, as there is so much more to come from her – all of the race programme is open to her from the start of next season. It was very important to retained her novice status for next season when we think she will really come into her own. The winner of her Hereford debut has been rated 117, and has finished 3rd in a Grade 3 hurdle in Cheltenham, so to run to a mark of around 115 on hurdles debut, and with a very quiet preparation – you can see why we are very excited by her. A tilt at the mares novice race in Cheltenham in March 2022 is not beyond the realms of possibility.
