That just about sums yesterday up! Kikos was in the process of running a blinder at Market Rasen when he unfortunately made a small mistake at the third last when in the lead and fell. I am pleased to report that both horse and jockey are unscathed. Sam reported that up until his unfortunate departure, Kikos had jumped for fun, and given him a terrific spin, and was very sure that he would have won. Thanks to everyone who called, texted and emailed asking about our boys welfare, it is good to have him home in one piece, I have spoken to Stuart this morning who says that he ate up last night, but is a little jaded this morning and may have a bit of a headache. He will have a little break now and see how he is in couple of days. We did learn plenty about him though - he will stay 2 1/2 miles but could win over a stiff 2 miles, loves jumping, and seems to be on a decent mark at the moment. I must say that the ground at Market Rasen yesterday was perfect, really good ground, and yet again the young Clerk of the Course did a wonderful job. The next entries will be Troglodyte at Uttoxeter on Sunday, with Matty and Ogee entered for Towcester next week.
