Friday 3 October

The good news this morning is that Important Business seems to be fine. He had his trip to the vets yesterday where Ed Brett and Bob Baskerville both had a good look at his joint that was a bit warm and locally sore yesterday morning. The offending joint was X-Rayed and scanned and the results were perfect so the verdict is that he has an infection and has been placed on course of heavy duty anti-biotics. These seem to have had an immediate effect and he is walking around his box sound this morning. This will only hold him up for a couple of days and then he will be back in proper work. The other good news is that Kikos seems none the worse for his fall, he is bucking and kicking around the farm, and is really in good form. Whilst Stuart was riding him around the farm on Wednesday, he passed through the jumps field, and when he passed the place where he would usually turn and approach the schooling fences he got quite excited and wanted to be having a go over them - so his confidence does not seem to be that dented! Rousing Rob will shortly start to step up his work as he nears the end of his course of anti-biotics, and we are still in debate about Mattys trip to Towcester next Wednesday, he will have an entry at Wincanton on Thursday just to see if it makes our decision easier.
