Cheltenham Selections

Very tough to find winners today, and if by some miracle you find yourself up after the first couple of races then quit and go to the bar because the last two heats are absolute lotteries!! In the first I really like Can't Buy Time, Jonjo is in fabulous form, and this horse looks well in - Kornati Kid is another Hobbs inmate that I like and I hope he can chase him home. 2.05 is a real puzzle, Karabak, Mad Max,and Diamond Harry are all worth consideration but the choice is Mikael D'Haguenet for Ruby Walsh with a small bet on Junior to be placed. 2.40 RSA Chase, I would love to see Carruthers win for Lord Oaksey - if he wins then there really will be no dry eyes in the house - and I will back him to do so, along with Cooldine - again for Ruby who I think could easily ride 4 winners today. 3.10 The Champion Chase is my favourite race of the week, and it is a case of who will be second to Master Minded who could win this half fit!! Petit Robin and Briareus are taken to fill the places. 4.00 The Coral Cup, and the Polomoche worked very well with Binocular at Kempton, he is a horse that we have chased home in the past and I can see him being laid out for this and running a massive race - Pierrot Lunaire and Great Endeavour are the each way selections. Sensible people would now give up for the day, but we have found one for the Fred Winter at a massive price to keep up the interest - Love And Glory gets in off a feather weight, and has some really good form to his name including at this track and is taken to be placed. The Lucky Last and get your pin out, with Willie Mullins running so many it would be foolish to overlok what Ruby rides, but my spys do tell me that Dermot Weld is very confident that Rite Of Passage will win, so he is taken as the selection with Quel Esprit to chase him home.
