Friday 13 March

Friday the thirteenth is always deemed to be unlucky, but it will be anything but for one very firtunate set of connections today when they win jump racings most prestigious prize - The Cheltenham Gold Cup. My selections will appear here later (but after yesterdays efforts you will probably log off immediately)Back on the home front - and E Major has been entered to run in a Novices Hurdle at Warwick next Wednesday - it looks a very decent heat at the moment with some very nice horses entered, but he needs just one more run for a mark, and the quality of opposition will start to wain as we push on through the spring. Heebie Jeebie is also entered to go, but her participation will depend a lot on her ballot. The ground at Uttoxeter remains Soft Good To Soft in places, so we will have to be patient and wait until next weekend to run Kikos. Matty has settled in well at Michael Kehoes and has had his shoes removed to give his feet a rest. Bobby is fine after his run, and we will be looking for a better effort next time, Important Business continues on exercise and will soon be asked to step up his work.
