There is always a first! And today was the first bumper winner trained by Mrs Robeson. Willow Wren, homebred, out of her wonderful racemare Wren Warbler won the concluding bumper at Uttoxeter today. A pleasant surprise, as the yard is obviously not noted for bumper winners, and this girl, although a half sister to Rock Wren and Troglodyte was hardly expected to break the duck! But like her siblings she is resolute and tough and with the yard in such good form she ran a grand race to win well. Daurica had started the day well by finishing third in the opening maiden hurdle, and there will be races to win with her in the future. Well done to all at Fences Farm, the horses are in some form - long may it continue!
