Monday 5 May

It was the turn of Noble Rebellion to do his thing today at The Warwickshire Point To Point at Ashorne. A big crowd, with plenty of racing 'faces' in attendance as it was a blank day for Jumping fans. The day did not go entirely to plan - Tom Ellis his trainer and jockey was in the lead in the opening Maiden, and looking like the winner when his horse ducked out through the rail of the third last giving him a nasty spill. In the same incident Johnnie Baileys mount came down giving him a nasty fall and breaking his leg - we wish him a speedy recovery.Tom luckily was just a bit sore and fit enough to ride Noble Rebellion. His division of the Maiden was equally incident packed with fallers and horses running out, making it a bit of a harem scarem race. Noble Rebellion was in fifth, and just coming under pressure when he to became a victim, taking a heavy fall at the same fence that Tom had come to grief in in the first. Both horse and jockey were soon up - but Tom was pretty sore. An encouraging run with an unlucky ending, but all live to fight another day. Back at Fences - E Major schooled very well with Ogee this morning.
