An interesting afternoons racing at Market Rasen yesterday, and as I thought Nesnaas duly went and franked the form of Kikos' last run at Uttoxeter. Upped in trip, and made plenty of use of by Noel Fehily, Nesnaas put in a super round to win well. It is a sure indication of how fast Kikos went at Uttoxeter, as Nesnaas was unable to go anywhere near the pace that day, but was able to make practically all yesterday on a tighter track (admittedly over 2 furlongs further). When he ran against Kikos it had looked as though he would be suited by the step up in trip, but it was no surprise to hear our old 'mate' Jonathan Neesom suggest on Racing UK that the form of the Uttoxeter race was 'nothing special'. He really does not seem to like us - and definitely is very anti Kikos - but at the moment Kikos is doing the talking and Neesom will soon realise that he is tough genuine and fairly useful. If he took the time to study the form book he will appreciate that Kikos has been ultra consistent, and only beaten by a better handicapped horse on the occasions that he has been second. Must come down off my high horse now, but I really am looking forward to the day that I get the chance to have a word with Neesom!!
