Tuesday 27 October
Unfortunately not enough rain has fallen at Haydock to ease the ground enough for Bobby Gee to take his chance tomorrow. A real shame as he is in blinding form, right back to his old best, and he would surely have run a massive race! But patience is a virtue, and we will wait with him, Stuart says he is a horse that is quite easy to keep on tick over, so he can do just that. The next possible targets for him are back at Haydock on the 5 November in a Beginners Chase,, or the choice of a further 7 races during the following week from courses ranging fron Ffos Las to Carlisle - surely one of them will get some softer ground, although the long range forescast seems to say that the Midlands and South East will see less than average rainfall until at least 22nd November!! Rousing Rob will do another piece of fast work this morning, and (don't say it too loud) he could be racing in a week or two (fingers crossed) but he too would want plenty of rain! Jardin De Vienne will be scoped today, and news on this and Robs work will be on these pages tomorrow.
