Tuesday 3 November
A few blood tests were done on the horses yesterday, and some were better than others. Nothing seriously wrong, Rousing Rob and a couple of others will need a couple or 3 weeks ticking over to get over it, and his debut will therefore be put back a bit. Jardin De Vienne seems to be clear and will be declared at Fontwell on Friday, he has worked well this morning. Bobby Gee seems OK, and he will be declared for Market Rasen on Sunday, which on the face of it looks a good opportunity for his debut over fences. Best wishes to Kevin Copperwheat who like some of the horses is feeling under the weather, Kevin has been diagnosed with swine flu, but hopefully he will be fit enough to get to Fontwell to see JDV on Friday.
