With no rain, and these fierce winds the ground is drying up all the time at Huntingdon. Yesterday Good To Soft, today Good, but with rain forecast for Friday it should be OK to run Jardin De Vienne and Willow Wren on Saturday. Both schooled very well yesterday, and appear in good form. Cheek pieces and different tactics for JDV, hopefully they will work, but we will learn a bit more I am sure. Millarky will have an entry at Uttoxeter next week. Bobby to go to Newbury a week on Saturday, and may be joined by Ogee who is back on song, but may need a few more days prep.We all know how good A P McCoy is but I really did have to rewind and watch again the ride he gave City Theatre at Market Rasen yesterday. Just pushing and shoving for the last 3 furlongs and getting his mount up on the line with only the slightest use of the whip it was a fantastic ride and one that stands him apart from his colleagues!
