Thursday 10 December

Rousing Rob was 'retired' yesterday, without getting to the course. A check ligament injury stopping us in our tracks - a bitter blow for the members of The Chicheley Partnership who had waited so long to see this lovely big strong son of Selkirk do his thing on the course. I have to say they have taken the news very well (poor Geoff Bridgford has had 2 horses retired this week), and realise that it is an accidental injury for which no blame can be apportioned. Thanks to all of them for being so understanding and making the hard job of telling them the bad news so much easier to do! Mrs Robeson kindly leased the partnership E Major last season, and I am pleased to say that most of the members have decided to stay in and lease him for another season, at least they will be going to the races again!! And it could just be that Emo is well handicapped now that he has 'new' feet. There will be limted places in E Major- so if you are interested then please give me a call. There is still a share for sale in Bobby Gee if anyone is stuck for a different Christmas present, so please ring me for details 07909 518902.
