Thursday 17 December

Due to unforseen circumstances there has been no news for a couple of days - but feeling a lot better now!! So apologies for the break in news, and time to catch up. Galoshes had an aborted trip to Folkestone on Tuesday - very unfortunate, Stuart says that 10 miles from the track it was bright sunshine, but at the course itself it dipped to -3 just before racing and on horse welfare grounds the meeting was called off. Never a nice trip to Flokestone, this one probably the worst!! No runners Wednesday, and time to take Bobby Gee up to the indoor school at Milton Keynes Eventing Centre at Hanslope for some 'loose schooling'. He was made to work hard and pick his feet up over some sizeable 'cross country' style obstacles, and the session went very well. Today Bobby schooled over the regulation fences first lot and seems to have learnt a great deal from yesterdays outing, he was very good in front and hopefully we have now found the key to him and he has learnt!! The vet was in and scoped him afterwards and he was found to be slightly mucky, so he will miss Uttoxeter on Friday and instead head towards Huntingdon on Boxing Day. Willow Wren is hopefully off to Ludlow if the weather allows, she is in great form, and will have benefitted from her latest outing at Huntingdon when behind two very good mares. The yard have won this race before, but can it really be 6 years ago - when Hylia came out on top in a race with plenty of non runners due to the ground. Hylia loved quick ground, and both Mrs Robeson and Stuart are adamant that the reason she won that day was because the ground was partially frozen!! Ogee entered at Ascot on Saturday, if he wins the Christmas party should be some fun on Saturday night!!
