Thursday 18 February

The chances of Jardin De Vienne were unfortunately washed away by the morning of rain, sleet and snow at Leicester yesterday. We are convinced that although he has done most of his running on a softer surface he doesn't handle it and will be seen in a far better light in the spring. He did jump very well out of the ground, and there is surely a race to be won with him on better ground. There are a number of shares to lease in him if anyone is interested. He has run all winter on unsuitable going and is now very well handicapped, he will be out again in a month when the ground gets quicker and off his mark should be going close. Surely an ideal opportunity to get a quick return on a 'fun' investment!! Give me a call on 07909 518902 for further details. Millarky ran well to be third in the last. Not the strongest of heats but he did jump well and run all the way to the line, offering some slim hopes for a win in the future. Both horses are fine this morning. Bobby will by-pass Uttoxeter on Saturday in favour of Market Rasen on Monday. Uttoxeter is a very tight race, and MR looks far more suitable. It also means that we get Sam, as on Saturday he has to go to Haydock and would not be available to ride. All in all a win win, hopefully the weather will play ball, looks like another cold snap is here!!
