Thursday 11 March
Jardin De Vienne is declared to run at Leicester tomorrow. The ground has dried up nicely and is currently Good, Good to Firm in places. It has been a bit of a 'mare with jockeys this morning. Sam is claimed by his boss Oliver Sherwood to ride his in the race, so it fell upon the shoulders of Christian Williams to steer our boy around, but when his other mount was declared a non runner he decided to go to another meeting, which left us scratching our heads a bit! Due to the number of races for amateurs on the card, there were not too many boys there that we knew, so Mark Bradburne has been booked, and will I am sure give him a good kick in the belly and a good ride. With only seven declared, and the ground a shade on the quick side it could be a good ride to get! Ogee looks like he will get a run in the William Hill Chase, it only needs seven to come out which seems likely, and he must go there with a bit of a squeek. Intended runners over the weekend are Grassfinch at Sandown, and Millarky at Towcester if it does not dry up too much.
