Thursday 8 April

Twelve months to the day after his memorable victory in the Grade 1 Sefton Novices Hurdle, Ogee returns to Aintree in a bid to add to his Grade 1 tally. He is one of 10 declarations for the Mildmay Novices Chase, and on the forecast better ground and left handed, on a course we know he acts on he must have a good chance. Being a top Novices Chase it is obviously competitive, with Burton Port and Take The Breeze taking part, but Ogee is very well, and seems to be bouncing after his brave run at Cheltenham, so fingers crossed all goes well and he can land the spoils. Stuart phoned yesterday to say that Important Business had schooled over the bigger fences again (including the bigger plain fence and the ditch) and he did it very well. Standing off long, or in short it all comes the same to him, and he is over them quickly and away. He has found a race for him on May 6th at Huntingdon, so here's hoping we get there!!
