After Ben Turners heroics for Coventry City on Saturday - scoring the winner (his first for the club) and getting the Man Of The Match award live on Sky, and in front of the England Under 21 Manager Stuart Pearce, it was sad to see on Sky Sports yesterday that his friend and other co-owner of Bobby Gee, Jay Tabb will be going under the knife today for an operation on his injured ankle. We wish him well, and speaking to him yesterday he hopes to be back in about 6 weeks. Plenty of rain last night, I tipped 36mm (1.5 inches in old money) out of the rain guage this morning, so the ground should be lovely to school on now, and it will also help to bed in the wood chip on the freshly topped up gallop. At least it means I can start to seriously think about putting the irrigators away for another year!!
