Monday 25 October
Bobby Gee will not take up either of his engagements this week as he has had to start on a course of antibiotics after a dirty scope this morning. He is only suffering with a touch of mucus in his airways, and will not be off games for too long. Omaruru will not make the trip to Haydock for what looks like a hot heat - he will wait for Warwick on November 3rd. A very enjoyable 'social' at Towcester yesterday afteroon, and good to see plenty of people that were on Robo on Friday.I also managed to buttonhole Matt 'At The Races' Chapman and requested that Sams ride be on the list for Ride Of The Week and he said he would try and sort it, so if he gets a nomination then please give him your vote as it was a very very good piece of horsemanship!! Both the weekend runners seem fine, and it looks as though the Racing Post rate Robo's win quite highly - giving him a Racing Post Rating of 127, which is prety high considering it was his chase debut and he hated the track, was not fully wound up, and lacked a bit of fluency!! Despite the obvious temptations he will be kept 'low key' in the immediate future. We took the chance to pop round to David and Tracy Morely's last night to watch the race again and talk plans and handicapping. David and Tracy are both new to the sport, and have literally only had an involvement for a few weeks, so were thrilled to be able to make it to Fakenham to welcome back their first winner!! We hope they are lucky owners!! Congratualtions also to Terence and Deidrie Jenner who also fall into the same bracket and were on hand to clap Robo back into the winners circle!! Well done to everyone and thankyou for your support. Special thanks to Mrs Robeson and her team at Fences Farm for their never ending hard work that gets us these wins - Cheers All!!
