Wednesday 27 October
Robo has been put up 11 lbs to a mark of 125 after his impressive winning chase debut on Friday. You can make a strong case for him going up further, but on the other hand there is a case for him being about 5 lbs lower, so I think the handicapper has taken a fair stab in the dark and gone with 125. It was mission accomplished on Saturday, as Kikos has been dropped 3 lbs to a mark of 113, which should make life easier when he runs again as he can come down in grade. He will remain in training for a few more weeks to see if we can squeeze another run out of him, if not he will go for his winter holidays, over which time we may have his breathing looked at. Bobby would not have gone to Haydock a nyway as the ground is still a bit tight on the bends, but hopefully he should be back on song in a week or so. Omaruru will head to Warwick next Wednesday. Ogee is back in work after a slight hitch, and is not in the Charlie Hall this weekend, which was the target. He may now head to Cheltenham's Open Meeting for a 3m 2f Handicap Chase. Sunday Sharpener and Willow Wren who both worked very well on Saturday morning are in at Uttoxeter on Friday.
