Sunday 31 October

It was a beautiful morning on the gallops yesterday, the sun was out,and the autumn colours were really vivid - hence the reason I got a bit carried away with the camera - always fun when you find out that it has functions you never knew about! The horses matched the weather, they all looked fantastic and worked well. First lot and the 'Wrens' did a strong piece of work - Willow Wren alongside Genny Wren. Last weeks winner Robo did one canter tucked in behind and moved well, and showed no ill effects of the overreach he sustained in the race. Robo will probably be seen in early December, possibly at Leicester in a Class 4 Novices Chase. Kikos had a walk and a trot out and is being aimed at a race in mid November, possibly back at Huntingdon, he should be seen in a better light now that the handicapper has relented with him slightly. After breakfast Omaruru, who looks really really well worked with Ogee, and made the stable star go a bit!! Omar seems in great form, and is an intended runner at Warwick on Wednesday. If he learns to settle and gets the 2 mile trip there is no reason that he could not win his share over timber, he seems to have improved from Huntingdon - but then he needs to!! Bob Graham, and Oliver Creswell were both in second lot, and they stayed to see Bobby scoped after he had done one canter. The scope was clear and he gets the go ahead to run at Chepstow on Wednesday, where, if he stands up he has to be in the mix! Because he only cantered yesterday, Bobby did a piece of work under Stuart this morning, and he said he did it very well.
