No pub last night afterall, so no hangover! Good to see Howard Cooke at Fences Farm very early this morning. Howard arrived in the dark to see his horse Grey Bobby do a very good piece of work first lot. This son of Silver Patriach does nothing but please and worked very well this morning, his debut is not far away. Omaruru worked second lot and was very impressive - he seems in great form and has an entry at Huntingdon next Thursday, where he is an intended runner. Bobby Gee also worked second lot and went really well, a trip to The North Yorkshire Grand National at Catterick is still on the cards. It will be interesting to see if the handicapper sees fit to raise him again next week for his Towcester win, as the form was franked in no uncertain terms at warwick yesterday when Mr Big and Rate Of Knots who were second and third behind him last time, battled out a tight finish and pulled 15 lengths clear of the third! Always nice to see form franked but I do fear what the assessor will think!
