Monday 3 January

Due to a slight blip on my part there has been no news since the new year. I have written two pieces but unfortunately the change of year has meant that they are lost forever! On Saturday it was good to see Howard Cooke who arrived in the dark, in time to see his horse Grey Bobby do a fine piece of work first lot. Grey Bobby is in great order and could well have an entry at Huntingdon on 14th of January. Second lot we saw Bobby Gee go very well, and Omaruru do a fine piece of work with Sunday Sharpner, Omar is in great form and continues to progress - he is an intended runner at Huntingdon on Thursday. Yesterday I thought I had seen a lovely horse that I purchased about 18 months ago, win his maiden point to point at Cottenham.Ringa Bay, a stunning son of Karinga Bay ran a blinder and came past the post about 2 lengths clear of the second placed horse - only to have the win taken off of him in the stewards room for interference after the last. A strange decision, but one that owners Michael and Fiona Kehoe took in good grace - he will surely repay their sportsmanship very shortly!! Kikos has his operation tomorrow, we hope all goes well,I did see him today, and he looks really well, I can't wait to get him back in the spring! I am convinced we have him very well handicapped if the op is a success!! Important Business looks in great order and he will return to Fences Farm with Kikos towards the end of the month. Both of the youngsters are developing very nicely and I will update you all about their progress over the next few weeks. They will be joined by another foal/yearling at the end of the month.
