Twenty three entries for the Totesport Classic Chase and Bobby Gee gets in with 10 stone 3lbs (if the top rated horse runs), and has been made joint third favourite with the sponsors. All we need to do now is find a suitable jockey. The phone has already started to ring, but with three meetings, and the added feature of the postponed King George and Christmas Hurdles at Kempton it may not be an easy task. It will be a family day out, as Bobby Gee's half brother should make his debut in the bumper. As I have said, I really like this strapping son of Silver Patriarch, and am very much looking forward to seeing him run! Omaruru has been left on a handicap mark of 118 after his run last week, but it was nice to see his Plumpton form franked when Ultravox (1 length behind Omar) bolted up very easily at Towcester yesterday! Omar has come out of his race in great form, and is likely to be stepped up in trip against older horses ( he will receive an age allowance) next month. Postponed Christmas party on Saturday night as well - it could be some night in the pub!!!
