Todays news (after a brief spell away from technology) is dedicated to Jo Hornby! It was good to see her on Saturday morning at Fences Farm, but she did bemoan the lack of a recent update - so here you go - no more 'Sunny Days'!! We had a good turn out of owners to see second lot at the weekend. They saw Kikos, and Important Business do lovely pieces of work with E Major and Willow Wren. Kikos will be need two more pieces of work to put him spot on for a run, which looks like being Towcester on the 12th. Important Business has an entry at Fontwell on Friday, but will not be ready to go- we do at least know his handicap mark now and can plan. The Kayf Tara 3 yr old filly is in to be re-broken and ridden away. She has been very sensible, but does have a stubborn streak! Apolka looked like a doubtful stayer at Uttoxeter on Saturday, but Silver Wren belied odds of 50-1 to end up a fast finishing third at Market Rasen yesterday. An extended trip and a few flights of hurdles will see her come into her own and keep up the family tradition! Ogee, who was disappointing at Newbury,is undergoing tests to see why. Bobby Gee is on his way to Newmarket to the veterinary hospital as I write. He will undergo a bone and further tests to get to the bottom of his hock injury. I have a busy time ahead as the sales season gets into swing. I have a couple of orders to fill, so will be scouring the catalogues for some potentially smart recruits - if anyone wants to join us then please get in touch 07909 518902.
