Kikos was a very brave second at Aintree last night. He was given a super ride by Sam, setting a decent but not breakneck gallop he was headed between 2 out and the last, but battled back to be 3 lengths clear approaching the final fence. Havin met the previous 2 in the home straight on an awkward stride he needed a good shot at the last but unfortunately he met it wrong again, fiddled it, lost vital momentum and was nabbed on the line by Alderly Rover to go down a neck. A super run from our ultra consistent boy, who appears to have come out of the race fine. Aintree are wonderful with owners and the club members that made the harrowing trip up the M6 had a thoroughly enjoyable night! Still a couple of shares in Kikos available, so if you would like a fancy night at Aintree next month call me! (07909 518902). Nice to welcome a large number of The Ravenstone Partnership over to Fences Farm this morning to see thier new horse (by Exit To Nowhere) gently canter past them. He is stunning, and gives the girls a 'good feel', so if his gearbox matches his looks and pedigree they should be in for some serious fun!! The Overbury 2yr old that has been stored at Michael and Fionas was dropped off this morning to be broken, and settled in well.Good luck to E Major, who runs at Haydock this afternoon, the 3 mile trip will suit, but he appears to need a little help from the handicapper.
