Monday 9 May

The 4 yr old (by Exit To Nowhere) that arrived last week, had his first little session in the jumps field this morning - and all went very well. He seems a natural, and ended his brief lesson popping over the baby hurdles nicely. He will stay in for another few days before heading over to Michael and Fionas for a break. He will be back in in early July to start his racing career. The 2 yr old (by Overbury) has settled in well and had tack on for the first time. He has behaved himself very well, and looks a nice prospect. E Major ran a stormer to be fourth in Haydock on Saturday, hugging the inside all the way round he plugged on well to finish a very galant fourth, in what was a very hot handicap hurdle! A terriffic run from this diminutive horse, who is as tough as teak. We know that he is too high in the handicap, but has at least proven that he is in good form, and it will not be long before he is getting back near the front again. The ground at Haydock had gone too soft for him as well which makes his performance even more meritorious! The next runner to look out for will be Willow Wren, who will be entered for a mares race at Uttoxeter on Saturday.
