Kikos seems fine after his run at Aintree on Friday evening. Although he ran very well to be third, the initial feeling after the race was one of slight disappointment, as we really thought he would take all the beating. As it panned out, the presence of another front runner in Ela Re made it a frantic pace, and our boy was treading water coming to the last. A mistake at the third one down the back not helping his cause. Looking at the times it really was run at one hell of a pace! It was 8 seconds faster than any other race on the card! Kikos will now head to Market Rasen in July for a 0-120 2m2f chase on their big Summer Plate day. Once again it was a very enjoyable night in Liverpool, and we even mmanaged to get back for a pint in the pub! Elswhere all is well, it is now only 3 weeks until the main lot of horses return from their holidays. Omaruru will have his breathing operation before his return, and as yet, due to difficulties pinning down the surgeon, a date has not been fixed for it to be done. By the time this lot return, both Colebrooke and Ogee will have started cantering, and Colebrooke in particular will not take too long to get back on the racecourse! Bobby Gee has gone out in the field, and everyone held their breath as he had a good gallop, skip and buck about! But the good news is that he is fine after his hooley, with his hock showing no ill effects. Don't forget the cricket on June 23rd!! looks like being a big night!
