We have been so desperate for a drop of rain that we did not feel like complaining as we stood in the paddock getting soaked at Chepstow yesterday! Smart Exit made an inauspiciuos debut but behaved really well and just ran green down the hill out of the back staright after which Sam was not hard on him - as instructed. He will now continue schooling over hurdles and his next run will be over timber. Colebrooke is declared to run at Fontwell tomorrow, with regular pilot Jamie Moore in the plate. He is in good form and with the extra distance sure to suit he should go well, if he goes in the softer ground he would have a big chance! Kikos has this morning been given the all clear to run on Friday - which will be his last run before he goes on holiday for the winter.Mark Beesley was in yesterday to do his regular piece for the Northampton Chronicle and Echo. He watched some horse work and we took him on a tour of the yard. His piece will be in tomorrows edition. Mark has recently completed his second book on Northampton Town Football Club, and if there are any Cobblers fans out there who would like a signed copy then please get in touch (Cost of book £15 - Signature FOC)
