The feature on page 12 of The Weekender under the headline Powell shows his mettle on Colebrooke, just goes to show what a good booking he was last Saturday! At the time he claimed 7lbs (now 5) which was rude, as although he would lack the strength of the seasoned pros, he is a very high class jockey and without him we would not have been winning. Hopefully we will be able to use him again before the season is out! His most willing partner, Colebrooke seems A1 after the run. Omaruru is in rude health, and when Brett The Vet was in on Saturday he had a quick look at his scar and was satisfied that we can keep going with him. Understandably Stuart and the team monitor the situation on a daily basis, but at the moment it is all systems go! He is bucking and kicking his way around the farm and down off the gallops, and you could use his coat as a mirror - he looks so well - hopefully he continues to thrive! Montegonian is still on track to go to Kempton on Saturday and Sam rides, he is in cracking form and jumped everything in sight yesterday - tyres, hurdles and chase fences! And did it well! So fingers crossed that some of the smart flat horses don't turn up and we can get a good clean run round and consolidate on our debut there last month! Still shares available so email info@nickbrownracing.co.uk to book your place in the paddock (and hopefully winners enclosure)!!
