I am sure that like me you are all sick and tired of the snow! All very well me moaning about it - sat here in my warm office - try being one of the staff at Fences Farm who's job - already difficult becomes 100 times harder. Frozen pipes means water has to be carried a lot further, frozen ground means horses (and people) have to watch their step, and cold limbs just make the job miserable! How lucky we are to have these ultra dedicated people look after our horses! With all the cold and snow there has been no National Hunt racing going on - just very meagre fare on the 'most weather', so not much to report. Just one thing that may be of interest - as some of you will know the Group 2 placed Russelliana has been at Fences for the past few months, doing her prep work before she went back to Sir Michael Stoute, and she has gone back to Newmarket today. She has some top class form from last summer, when Sir Michaels horses were under a cloud, so there should be plenty more to come. Her form is already top class - she was second in the Cherry Hinton, and the winner, Gamilati won the UAE 1000 Guineas last week, and the third Shumoos was second in the Breeders Cup last back end. Hopefully she will come continue to run well as a three year old this summer!
