Friday 20 April

With virtually all the shares in the as yet unnamed Kayf Tara filly taken up, I think it is about time that all her owners take the time out to think of a name for her. Those of you that follow us on Facebook will know that a few members have already put some suggestions forward and they are all good ones. So 2 weeks today will be the closing date (Friday 4th May) after which I will put all the names in a hat and draw the winner. Only 1 suggestion each please, and obviously it is only open to those of you who took up the offer of a share in her. To help you along - she is by Kayf Tara, out of Suave Shot (who is out of Optaria). Her dam Suave Shot is a half sister to Grey Shot, Opera Cape and Night Shot. Plenty of fun to be had there - so get your thinking caps on!I am looking forward to seeing her on the gallops tomorrow - she is now coming up from the bottom, and doing it very nicely! Please be aware that the last couple of shares are only available on a first-come, first-served basis - when they are gone they are gone!! There will be no further chances to be involved this summer! Good luck to Michael and Fiona Kehoe, who have Ringa Bay running in the Hnters Chase in Southwell today. RB is trying to make it 5 wins on the spin, and with only 4 opponents it looks like he may well do so!! Just as a heads up - if anyone wants (or knows someone that wants) a retired racehorse for a bit of hacking and fun then please let me know - after a good spell of rest and recouperation after retiring last year it is time for dear old Bobby Gee (photo right) to go and do a job somewhere. He is 100% now and would give someone a whole heap of fun. He will be ready to go in about a month, so get in touch if you can offer him a good home!
