Anyone would think the Edmunds' have got the caravan out!! As many of you will know there are two surefire ways of making the heavens open - Stuart and Trish unwrap the caravan for a few days away, or, we start running the horses that really do need the better 'summer' ground! The Edmunds'are not away but the unleashing of the summer horses has meant a significant change in the weather - from drought to deluge!! Spare a thought for the staff all over the south of England today who are riding out in the most miserable of conditions - they really do have to be dedicated! With this weather about it really doesn't seem to be the right time to start thinking about a side for the annual charity cricket match against Eversholt. I have still not heard back from the club regarding a date, but it will be during June sometime, and on a slow news day it seems the right time to suggest that those wanting to pull on the pads or turn their arm over in the name of charity should email me so that we can start putting the side together. Last years event was a huge success and great fun and we would like to go one better this year and not finish second! Get in touch if you want a game! The NBR XI will need all the support it can get if it is to overturn last seasons close defeat, so all support would be welcome! Get down to the pavillion - the beers and laughs flow very freely! Back at home - the filly continues to impress and does everything very easily! Now doing plenty of cantering, she is very much going the right way. At some stage during the next month she will have a raccourse gallop at Towcester, just to give her an insight into what will be expected of her.
