Wednesday 2 May
I know I keep going on about it, but we really have had enough of the wet stuff now! Yesterday evening, on the way over to Weston Underwood, I was amazed at just how the river had burst its banks - and where the floods had got too! Stuart said he kept the horses off the wood chip gallop yesterday,as it was just too wet, and instead took them all for a canter and a splash through the standing water around the grass. The horses loved it, and came back in thoroughly plastered! They say a change is as good as a rest!! We had a good meeting in The Cowpers Oak last night, that will hopefully lead to another nice horse coming to Fences Farm some time over the course of the next few months! It is nice to think that folks have got the confidence in what we do, and, more importantly, what Mrs Robeson, Stuart and all the girls do at Fences. Although I know it has already officially started, you will all know what I mean when I say that I am really looking forward to the 2012-2013 season - I have the feeling it will be our best season yet - with some very nice young horses to go to war with! It's all about the dreams!!
