Yesterday I reported that All Bar One were in good order, today I am pleased to say that ALL are fine! Quite remarkable when you consider what befell poor Tannerman yesterday! 'Ted' is not the brightest creature on Gods earth, but he is a lovely chap, but despite being every inch a chaser, and bred to do that very purpose to some effect, he is certainly not the most natural! Yesterday he settled and travelled beautifully ( a great improvement on his first, short lived, run for us), and had everything under pressure as they turned for home, only to knuckle over on landing after the second last! Oddly it was one of his best leaps through the race, but the way he failed to rise after hitting the floor made everyone very concerned. The screens soon went up, which is a dreaded sight, but luckily he was only winded and got up after regaining his breath ( and after having a nibble on some grass). Ted seems fine this morning, and will resume his intense schooling in a day or two. He will be out again in 3-4 weeks. At least he has proven that he has the ability to win races, and when he gets it all together he will soon be making amends. The Fonz was yet again unlucky with the ground yesterday that had gone too soft for him by the time he raced on it. He too is fine this morning! The one that was left out of the health check yesterday was Colebrooke who was lame with a foot infection, but I can report that he is over that now, and with a shoe refitted yesterday he is entered in Leicester on Monday. Benefit Cut also has an entry on the same card.
