Tuesday 27 November

No I don't have plans to go back to Twickenham this Saturday and drink more Guiness!! But the recent downpours have meant that we have had to keep rethinking our plans. Smart Exit had a great chance in Fontwell tomorrow, but they have abandoned, so he now heads off to Taunton on Thursday if they beat the weather. We had planned to run Tannerman next week, but then at the last minute put him in at Doncaster on Friday as they usually get decent ground up there - but yesterday that went Soft (Heavy in Places). We will have a chat and see if we go on that - his 3 parts brother Turpin Green went on that ground, so there is still a chance he may go despite having an action that looks very much more suited to a sound surface.Sam was in this morning and he schooled very well. Yesyoucan, who San Telm beat at Haydock off level weights has been raised to a career high mark of 132 (+7lbs), and because we have already run ST he has reamined on 126, so lets hope he is well treated! Colebrooke is in at Leicester on Sunday, he reverts to 2 miles and a stiff track, a combination that saw him at his best last year, and we will learn where we go with him afterwards. The only mover in the handicap ratings this week was Grassfinch who went down 1 to 118. She ran well on Saturday, but got bogged down in the mud!
