Huntingdons meeting on Friday has gone the way of most of the turf meetings this week a,d been abandonded. A shame as San Telm does not get to run, but every cloud has a silver lining, and the abandonment has meant that ST is qualified to run in the Pertemps Handicap Hurdle Final at The Cheltenham Festival. All that needs to happen now is for ST to improve 7-10lbs for a step up to 3 miles and he will get a run in March! With all the meetings being lost to the weather, the BHA have announced a Bumpers For Jumpers card on the all weather in Kempton on Friday. These races, open to National Hunt horses that have run over obstacles, are run over 2 miles on the flat and are a vital tool for keeping the wheels turning over when everything is frozen off! Ogee will have an entry on the card, and as he had smart form on the flat, and ran well on thr track he could go well - it will be very interesting! We did consider giving Colebrooke a spin in one but felt that as he has a target in Leicester next week, and will go on heavy ground we would wait and go over hurdles.
