Those of you that follow our news on these pages will know full well what happens when The Edmunds' decide to 'give the shed a tug'! Yes - when they get the caravan out it can only mean one thing - days and days of rain! In fairness they have managed to get a couple of dry warm days in - but the rest of the week looks decidedly wet from now!! At least we managed to get 3 dry and warm days in over the Bank Holiday weekend. Saturday we were over to Towcester first thing to give Ogee a leg stretch around the track. It is something he enjoys - but not as much as Stuart who gets quite a kick out of 'winning' his work. Jockey Tom Messenger said on Saturday, that he gets so carried away he does a Mickael Barzalona style celebration as he goes past the post and tries to unsaddle in the winners enclosure!! Ogee worked well! Other than that it was a quiet morning as Tara Dancer is still on gentle exercise due to a bit of pain in her foot/joints. She should resume harder graft this week - it only appears to be a little niggle. Saturday we had dinner in The George in Spaldwick - superb - but make sure you take your appetite!! Sunday was The Thurley Fest in our village of Thurleigh. There was a dedication of the new Memorial to the US airmen from the neighbouring airfield who lost their lives in WWII followed by fun and games on the playing field. All went well under blue skies and it was great afternoon - including the Auction ( I get that job) that raised £600!
