Native Princess

Native Princess - We are very excited by this one, and so we should be!! She is now a WINNER of her last 2 races!! We have just 1 share available in The Oakley Partnesrhip, owners of this very exciting prospect. Native Princess is a 5 yr old bay filly, by top dual purpose sire Tobougg, she is out of the mare Forest Pride (by Be My Native), and is from a top class National Hunt family. Forest Pride has had 8 foals that have gone on to race - 6 have won, including Our Ben and Scavenger who were both high class horses over in Ireland. This young lady was purchased as a foal (where she won the foal show) and has been given time. She was very disappointing on her debut in the spring of last year, when she was found to have a severe breathing problem. In the summer she had this corrected, and had been working well in the autumn before running a cracking race to be third in a Lingfield bumper. Josh Moore who rode her felt that she was unlucky, and that with a better run she would have won. She was then put away for better ground, and paid back our patience by coming from last to first to win a decent mares bumper in Southwell on June 2 2105. Paddy Brennan rode her and said after the race that she would be a certainty in a maiden hurdle - and he was spot on - as he was on board again when she won on her hurdling debut in Fontwell. Only a three runner affair, but it was the first time she had popped a hurdle in public, and the race was definitely not run to suit. Given that plenty was not in her favour, there is heaps more to come form this highly progressive individual!
