Although the Assistant Trainer thinks he is some sort of God (He was heard shouting 'I am a God', as he rode up the gallops last week)!! Todays headline is not about him - it is for Stuart Broad, who yesterday calmed the nerves with a devastating spell of quick bowling that ended all Australian dreams of drawing the Ashes series!! As you all know I enjoy all forms of Cricket - but Test Cricket, for me has everything - and a tense session like last night is just wonderful sporting drama. The Aussies looked like they were coming back into things, after Lords, but thankfully England had too much for them! On the horse front - things are ticking over nicely - most of the stable will be cantering by tomorrow, and they all look in fantastic order - which is the product of them having all had a super summer at grass! Those that are cantering are all moving very well.
This was second lot on Saturday with Silver Wren (Grey) and Reyno up front, with Grassfinch and Benefit Cut (nearside) in behind. Really good news about Brian Toomey, who has been moved from hospital in Dundee, to a facility closer to his Yorkshire base. Fellow jock, and friend, Brian Hughes says that 'he is in good spirits, is walking and talking, but is on a long road back to full health.' His therapy starts soon!
The photo on the right is Colebrooke, who is finally reunited with his usual work rider Emma. They make a lovely couple, and seem to suit each other!! 'The Angry Ant, and Little Shit' - I will let you work out which is which!! Please be aware that there are only 2 shares remaining in Omaruru - so get in touch quickly if you want to be racing with this talented giant when he goes Novice Chasing this Autumn!! Just £400 + £20/week!! 07909 518902
