Friday 16 August

Mrs Robeson looks like having another big day out, this time in York, as her star flat performer Hillstar has been left in the Juddmonte International next week. It looks a top class field, but Hillstar, winner of the Group 2 King Edward VII stakes, and third in the Group 1 King George at Ascot last time is in rude health and deserves his place in the line up as it stands. The International is a race that Mrs Robeson and her brother Sir Evelyn have won before with Notnowcato (who was leased by and ran in Sir Evelyn's sons), and it would be a real feather in their caps if they could win it again. With news of Old Boys dominating the news last week - it prompted the owner of another of our ex inmates to get in touch. Louise owns Ravenstone Lad, and kindly sent the pics of him in the showring (bottom right). She thinks the world of this good looking son of Presenting, and hopes to have a great deal of success with him in the retrained racehorse classes. He does look in great form, and once again shows that the time and effort put into finding these boys and girls a good home is never wasted!! It will be good to see Omaruru, San Telm, Colebrooke and Guest Of Honour canter tomorrow - I will try and get some footage of it to put on here over the weekend!
