Hillstar produced a creditable effort in yesterdays Juddmonte International in York. A little too keen in the early stages and possibly unsuited by the very fast conditions he was outpaced when it mattered but was staying on in the closing stages. He will surely capture a Group 1 - given the right conditions. It seems a while since the yard had a runner, but with just Ogee left to fly the flag for the summer runners it was always likely to be so. Today he (Ogee) gets an entry in Worcester next week. He has had a bit of an MOT since his last (winning) run in Southwell, and seems in great heart. The ground is currently good to firm, but his win the last day has somewhat proven that he is equally effective on a softer surface. All of ours are in great heart - and there is now only 1 share remaining in Guest Of Honour after Stuart Ruler nailed his colours to the GOH mast yesterday.
