Monday 14 October

As I spoke of in my previous posts - Brett the vet was in today to have a look at Smart Exit and Omaruru among others. The news for both is good. SE's joint isn't damaged and there is no ligament or tendon damage either, 3 days on the walker and he will be back cantering. Omaruru has once again scanned clean - vets advice 'press on'!! So all good on that score. San Telm has entries in Cheltenham this Friday and Saturday, and we will discuss options later this week - a lot will depend on ground conditions with heavy rain forecast. Colebrooke will work again tomorrow, and having had a chat with Stuart this evening, he could head to Stratford on the 26th. Guest Of Honour will work again tomorrow, after which we can make plans, and Maypole Lass will stride on for the first time since her arrival, after which Stuart will know where she is fitness wise, and a plan can be hatched!! After chatting with Michael and Stuart over the last few days it will not be long before the very exciting 3 yr old filly (by Tobougg) comes into Fences Farm. With the weather changing, she will be better off tucked up in a warm stable and asked to do a bit of work for her living. There are a couple of shares left in her - so please have a look at the For Sale page for all the details and get in touch. She will be aimed at mares bumpers in the new year - hopefully earning a tilt at one of the listed races in the spring - she has the pedigree to be very smart!!
